Step 1: What is Socrative?
Socrative is an online program teachers can use to quickly assess student knowledge. Teachers create assessments and quizzes individualized to their own needs in the classroom. It's similar to Kahoot in the sense that it's an online quiz-like assessment; however, it gives teachers immediate results so that they can make instructional decisions in their classrooms right away if need be. I like Socrative more than Kahoot for instructional purposes because the kids don't get as crazy and loud when using it because it's not set up like a competition. The tend to take it more seriously and think about the questions and answers before selecting one. Being first to answer on Socrative doesn't earn the kids point values.
